 Releasing on Youtube
So now I have the 1st video completed right? But here’s the thing: I had no intentions of ever releasing it to the public! It was going to stay safely on my HD together with all the other small animations and deviations that I’ve made over the years while playing around in 3DSV2.
But I thought back on why I even decided to make such a video in the first place and figured that there might be other vore fans out there who like me were craving for this specific type of vore tale. I felt like even if only 100 people would watch my little crappy video and get some enjoyment out if it then I’d be happy to share my creation back to the vore community.
And so with no expectations whatsoever, I created a youtube channel and came up with a silly pseudonym on the spot: “Laek Augustus”. I don’t even remember the reasoning behind that name… I guess I faintly recall it being greek or roman related? Anyways, channel created and video uploaded on Jan 3 2013.
I also made an account on aryion.com a.k.a. “Eka’s Portal” and created a dedicated thread to the video (and eventually series). For those who don’t know, Eka’s Portal is basically the biggest hub of vore related content on the web. https://aryion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=33400
The view count on the video started going up, up and up, and I legitimately couldn’t wrap my head as to why. I expected a few hundred views at most, or maybe a thousand if I got lucky, but it quickly hit not only one thousand, but 5000, 10000, etc.
I remember most vore videos at the time that I enjoyed having only around 10k views at most which felt realistic given the niche, so seeing my own video surpass the view count of those videos (which to this day I consider to be of much better quality than mine) was a crazy sight to see.
Remember, back then YT was not the same site as it is today; video view counts were much lower in general and compound to this fact that my channel was a literally new blank channel with zero subscribers and just a single video.
I’ll be honest: having a truckload of people enjoying something that you’ve created is an amazing feeling, doubly so when your creation is something that you think not many people will like due to how “bizarre” it is.
As the month’s went by after originally launching the 1st video, I began to entertain the idea of making more parts for this vore tale. Initially I had no intentions at all of continuing to make videos, but as the reception was surprisingly positive and good, and I also already had a whole plot involving many characters in my head anyways (from my usual fantasies), I then decided to go ahead and make a 2nd video.
So now it’s June 2014 as I finish uploading the 2nd video and somehow, someway, it is even better received! I recall the view count going up even faster than the 1st video (which was pure insanity to me) and from all the early indications this video was going to become much bigger than the previous one and so I got really excited.
Well, that didn’t last long tough. A few months later youtube had taken down the 2nd video, not even putting it behind the age gate like with the 1st video.
YT doesn’t tell you which specific thing “went against their guidelines”. I would be completely ok with working around with it and maybe even re-rendering the video and try to make small changes to scenes in order to comply. But it’s frustrating because not only they don’t tell you which specific part went against which part of the guidelines, but you’re also left to wonder why they removed the 2nd but not the 1st one too? It’s a frustrating situation wondering what can you do to have your content hosted there.
Looking back at it now, I realize that this alone slashed my motivation for making videos in half.
